How it works

Email

Send us an email to tell us what you want us to do for you and when you need it completed. Attach a sample of your document if you have one and tell us how long the final document will be. The best sample is at least 1000 words from the middle of your written work. Also let us know if you are a student or if the document is a thesis as this makes a difference to what we can do and what we charge. And if it is urgent then put “Urgent” somewhere in the email subject.

Quote

We will look at your instructions and the sample you have sent through. Based on this we will come back to you with a quote showing the fixed price for the work and our understanding of what you want us to do and what you don’t want us to do. Our price depends very much on how much work you have already done on the document and how much more you want us to do. If the price is outside your budget tell us and we can discuss ways that your document can be improved more cheaply.

Edit and write

After you have accepted our quote we go to work. We guarantee to do what has been agreed by the agreed deadline, unless prevented by circumstances beyond our control.
We will do all that we can to provide you with a high quality result from our editing and writing services, but we do not guarantee 100% perfection – although that is what we aim for.

About us

Our Principal Editor, Lee Miller, has a lifetime of writing and editing documents in widely varying styles.

He has an Artium Magister (Masters degree) in Classical Philology and Ancient History from Harvard University, First Class Masters in Classical Languages from the University of Auckland, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from RMIT University in Melbourne and has held a postgraduate scholarship to the Universität zu Köln in Germany. On top of this he has recent studies in subjects as varied as sociology, museum studies and computer science.

As well as academic essays and theses, Lee has written and edited a wide range of business documents -

• Annual Reports for publication
• business cases and project plans
• tenders and proposals,
• legal documents
• marketing copy for print and websites
• technical documentation including the Operations Manual for an airline
• reports and consultation documents.

His work and writing experience includes healthcare and pharmaceuticals, information technology, finance and accounting, government, international recruitment - and hot-air balloons.

Lee has lived and worked in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the USA, so he is comfortable working in a range of different English dialects. A special skill is localising documents written for UK or US audiences for readers in Australia and New Zealand.
