Too much fun

The last few months have been more fun than a barrel full of monkeys – although I probably don’t look quite as pleased about it as our simian friend with the guitar.

I’ve got to learn all about the difficulties of using educational robots in a real classroom, what an urban heat island is and how to minimise its effects, the best way to measure foetal growth and use the results to identify possible low birth weight babies, and how to prepare and administer injectable drugs in a hospital.

So many interesting topics being studied and written up ready for me to edit and then to be put forward for a degree and publication.

And there’s more to come – time to get reading and editing again! I can’t wait.

Thanks for “outstanding contribution as copy editor”

So pleased to have been able to help by editing the essays in this book.

As the cover says, Places of Privilege is a book of interdisciplinary essays which examine the dynamics of privilege in the construction of place in a period of rapid social transformation of places, borders and boundaries.

And from the book’s acknowledgements, kind words from Nicole Oke who worked so hard to pull this book together –

“Thank you also to Lee Miller for his outstanding contribution as a copy editor on this volume”.

New website launched

Here at EditMode we’re so excited that our new website is up and running.

It feels as though we have had to read every chapter in this book to sort out how to make it work.  But here it is ready for you to use.

Look for changes and improvements over time.  We’ve already got a long list of tweaks for the next release but if there is anything that really jumps out at you as missing, drop Lee a line lee@editmode.co.nz or write a comment.
